Prints FAQ's
Do you do customized labels?
Unfortunately, we no longer are able to customize labels or cards due to the volume of orders. However, we have gathered some options to help you personalize your favors.
1. Contact your printer. A good hang card size is a half a business card. Have them punch a hole in the corner and you attach to the bottle with a ribbon. I like curling ribbon, its fun, festive and easy. Cut ribbon 11 inches.
2. Labels to fit the Gallone or Champagne are available at the following websites:
a. http://www.myweddinglabels.com
b. http://www.artisticgreetings.com
c. http://www.currentlabels.com
3. Do it yourself using a print shop program and business cards from an office supply store. You can print both sides of the business card and then fold it creating a little card. Punch with a hole in the corner and tie onto your bottles with ribbon.
4. Link to our Custom Printing page www.cbmaplefarm.com/customweddingfavorsprint.htm
. You can have personalized information printed right on the bottle through our sugarhouse. If you want to create a keepsake for guests, visit our new Custom Printing page and get the details.
How many pounds of candy will I need?
Once you’ve determined how many candies will be going into your packing, you may order using the following estimates:
Maple Leaves 44/lb
Hearts & Roses 65/lb
When ordering candy, there is no minimum order. Your order will be packaged in bulk and shipped.
What types of packaging are available for maple candy?
Many couples like to use cloth bags or something made out of netting with a tie. Some couples have even made their own boxes or put the candy in dishes to self-serve on the reception tables. And still, some like to serve a piece of candy with the cake.
How far in advance should an order be placed?
As much time as possible is always good! Two to three months before the date of the event is preferable. The most popular bottles are kept in stock, but some are a special order. We also like to bottle the syrup as we go so that it will be its freshest for your guests. You may not know the exact number that you need at the time you place the order, but for our planning purposes here on the farm, a good idea is better than a last minute order we can’t do anything about. Before the items are shipped, you will have an opportunity to confirm the number you will need. Most couples like to wait until they have received the RSVP’s before shipping.
Is there a discount for bulk purchases?
Yes, favors with a minimum order of 25 have been reduced in price to reflect volume purchases.
What if I want to purchase a larger bottle than those offered on the Buy Now page?
Any container on our website can be available for bulk purchasing. Call the sugarhouse, 1-888-846-2753, to get a price quote.
How should my maple products be stored?
We have taken every safeguard to assure that your syrup is properly filtered, graded and bottled at the FDA’s required food safe temperature. Maple syrup should be stored in a cool, dark place. In a closet or the back of a pantry is best. Do not store in direct light or near a heating system as the color of the syrup can change over time.
Maple Candy is best kept in a dry, room temperature area. Humidity will melt maple candy. I’ve always found that some airflow is better than a complete seal.
How is the maple syrup packaged?
Our maple syrup has obtained the Vermont Department of Agriculture's Seal of Quality. When the syrup is bottled in the sugarhouse, it is checked for density, color and flavor. We bottle all the syrup at 180 degrees Fahrenheit, the food safe temperature required by the FDA. The syrup will have a warm amber color, usually a medium amber grade. There won't be any sediment on the bottom of the bottle and the syrup won't be cloudy. You can also count on no messy drips or smudges on the bottles that you'll have to clean when they arrive.
How are the favors shipped?
All orders are shipped using UPS Ground Service unless other arrangements are made.
What is the cost of shipping?
UPS will not take a package over 70 pounds and we feel that a package over 50 pounds is too difficult to handle safely. Most favor orders are large and require more than one box. If you order online, the shopping cart does not have the ability to correctly calculate the shipping charges for multiple boxes (it tends to over calculate). You can call the sugarhouse toll free, 1-888-846-2753, for a more accurate amount.
How do I pay for the order? We accept VISA/MC/AMEX credit cards. All orders will be processed before UPS picks up at the sugarhouse.
