Steam from the sugarhouse

About the Carman Brook Farm, LLC

Gilles Fortin, summer 2001.

The Carman Brook Farm, LLC, began its agricultural roots in 1911 milking cows and growing crops to feed our livestock.  Dairy cattle no longer thrive on the farm as of May 2, 2018. We had a dairy farm auction and have since rented the crop fields.

Our  maple syrup business began in 1999.  We have a large inventory of sugar maples on the farm just waiting to be tapped.  As well as an interest in joining the sugarmaking industry.

If you happen to be in the area, stop by for a visit. Even though we’re tucked away on a dead end dirt road just a few miles from the US/Canadian border we’re pretty easy to sign on sugarhouse

You can expect to be sweetened up a bit with some maple samples. We’ll also spend some time straightening out the confusion over the grades of maple syrup. If the weather cooperates, you can plan on poking around outside.

If you can’t make it to the farm, you still have access to our fine maple products online.  Maple syrup, maple candy and maple cream are all produced in the sugarhouse.
