Vermont Maple Cream
Our Vermont Maple Cream is handmade in small batches from our family’s sugarhouse kitchen. It is packaged in 1 lb and 1/2 lb tubs. The Carman Brook Farm Maple Cream does not contain any preservatives. It ships well but does require refrigeration when it arrives.
How Maple Cream is Made
Maple Cream is made by boiling the maple syrup to a high temperature, cooling it very quickly to a low temperature followed by whipping the syrup into a delicious creamy spread. If you’d like the recipe you can find it in the Official Vermont Maple Cookbook for $1.80. The only ingredient is maple syrup. Maple Cream is naturally gluten free and does not contain any dairy products. “Cream” simply refers to the creamy texture.
The Maple Cream Flavor Choices
We offer you the choice of the traditional light maple cream or dark maple cream. Traditional light maple cream is made with Amber Rich Taste Maple Syrup and has a delicate maple flavor. The dark maple cream is made with the Very Dark Strong Taste Maple Syrup and has a more intense maple flavor.
Maple Cream Uses
While consuming maple cream you’ll enjoy the velvety texture, similar to a creamy peanut butter. Anything that can be topped with peanut butter, butter, jams or jellies can be spread with maple cream. It is delicious on sugar cookies, donuts, toast, bagels or muffins. On the farm maple cream has also been used to spread between two waffles making a breakfast sandwich on the run!!
